Whether you’re a beginner taking your first steps, an adult returning to music, or someone exploring songwriting, performance, or production, lessons are designed to be both enjoyable and effective.

​About Me
My name is Naser, and I’m the founder and lead tutor at Book Music Mentor. My teaching journey began in Tehran when I was 18. Encouraged by my mother, I taught my first piano and keyboard students who were passionate about learning music from the very basics. At the time, teaching came naturally; I focused on showing up, sharing knowledge, and sparking enthusiasm.

After exploring a range of disciplines, including mechanical engineering, business management, and fitness and personal training, I returned to music teaching in 2017 with a clearer sense of purpose.
​
This broader academic and life experience shaped how I approach teaching today, allowing me to work confidently with learners from a wide range of backgrounds, including college and university students, working professionals, and adults returning to music as a creative outlet or personal goal.
​
In 2020, I launched Book Piano Lessons as an independent platform. Since then, I have taught both children and adults, including complete beginners who have grown into confident intermediate players. I have also gained valuable experience supporting learners with additional needs, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles, confidence levels, and individual circumstances.
​
Alongside my independent teaching, I have worked with learners at college and university levels across a variety of music pathways. This has included teaching piano, rhythm guitar, composition, songwriting, beat-making, and music production across a range of contemporary styles.
​
This wider teaching and creative experience naturally led to the relaunch of the platform in 2026 as Book Music Mentor, expanding beyond piano to offer clearer learning pathways in performance, composition, and creative music mentorship.

Music, Performance, and Real-World Experience​
Alongside teaching, I am an active musician and songwriter. I began playing piano at the age of nine and have been involved in music performance, songwriting, and production throughout my life.
​
I studied BA Songwriting and Vocals at ACM Birmingham, where I later became a tutor in music at both FE and HE level. I have also completed a Master’s degree in Music, further deepening my understanding of creative practice, performance, and contemporary music education.
​
I continue to release original music, perform live with my band, and collaborate with other creatives. This real-world experience feeds directly into my teaching, helping students connect learning with creativity, performance, and confidence.

I believe strongly that “your art is your certification.”
Every learner deserves an approach that recognises their individuality, creativity, and pace; not a one-size-fits-all system.
